Terms of use

The deal

These terms are an agreement between you and Upsystems Technologies. By creating an account or using Fan Battle you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

You must be at least 13 and give a real email address. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens on your account. One person, one account: creating extra accounts to vote more than once is not allowed.

Zero tolerance for abuse

Fan Battle has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post anything that is:

• Hateful, harassing, bullying or threatening, or that attacks people for who they are.
• Sexual, pornographic, or that sexualises anyone under 18.
• Violent, gory, or that encourages self-harm or illegal acts.
• Someone else's private information, or photos of private people without their permission.
• Copyrighted material you don't have the right to use, spam, scams or impersonation.

Reporting and moderation

Every battle and comment can be reported, and you can block anyone so you no longer see their comments. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and remove users who post it. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion to keep the community safe.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and share it inside Fan Battle (and in previews when someone shares a battle) for as long as it is on the app. You confirm you have the right to post it. Deleting a battle or your account ends this licence.

Votes

Each person gets one vote per battle, and votes can't be changed. Battles are for fun: results reflect who voted, not facts about the competitors. Trying to manipulate results (bots, multiple accounts, paid votes) can get your account removed.

Hero and Warrior subscriptions

Fan Battle is free to use. Hero and Warrior are optional paid plans that add features, listed with their prices in the app before you buy. Prices include any taxes your app store charges.

Subscriptions are bought through Google Play (or the App Store on iPhone) and charged to that account. If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep your plan's features until the end of the period you have paid for.

To cancel or manage a subscription, use your Google Play or App Store account settings. Deleting the app or your Fan Battle account does not cancel it by itself.

Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their refund policies, and where the law gives you a right to one.

If we change a price, we will tell you in advance and the store will ask for your agreement where required. Features marked "coming soon" are not yet available and are not part of what you pay for until they launch.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep Fan Battle running, but it is provided as is. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for content posted by other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions: support@fanbattles.app.
